Here at Myobody Skin Clinic we have a range of organic acid chemical peels containing AHA, BHA and AZA to treat a wide variety of skin concerns. Our excellent progressive range of acid strengths enables us to offer treatments for all skin types to target the superficial to deeper layers of the skin.

Our in clinic chemical peel procedures are performed by our highly trained practitioner, who has expert knowledge on all types of chemical peels.

Why Should I have A Chemical Peel?

Chemical peels are excellent treatments to help transform your skin into looking younger and healthier. Not all chemical peels will give the same results as each acid acts different within the skin. This is why at Myobody Aesthetics we help you chose the chemical peel most suited to your needs. We have a range of different formulations to address concerns such as pigmentation, dehydration, redness, breakouts, scarring anti ageing.

Although each skin peel has its own unique benefits, they will all help  to rejuvenate the skin and remove dull, dead cells to help promote a more even, youthful skin tone . The chemical peels we use will also penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin to encourage new cell formation and boost elastin synthesis.

While a single peel will deliver a noticeable benefit, a course of three peels, performed on a two weekly cycle are sometimes recommended for optimum results.

What Will My Skin Look Like After A Peel?

You will receive a full consultation before you have your treatment which will allow our practitioners to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Some chemical peels are rather mild and involve no downtime. Depending on the peel type and the strength we have applied you may have some redness and flushing immediately after your treatment and you may also notice some dryness and dead cells removal (flaking) for a few days after your procedure. You will be advised by your practitioner on how to care for your skin after your treatment and what you should avoid post treatment.

Your practitioner will also be able to give you guidance on your at home skincare regime and what products we have to enhance your treatment results.

Price for a single peel starts from as little as £75!

Pigmentation

Pigmentation is a common concern amongst many clients. The most common cause of hyper pigmentation (darker patches of skin) is UV damage from sun exposure .

There are however other causes of unwanted skin pigmentation, such as:

hormonal conditions

pregnancy/breastfeeding

medications

acne

skin tissue trauma

Here at Myobody Aesthetics we have a selection of chemical peels to help reduce unwanted pigmentation. The type of peel recommended will vary depending on your skin type and the type of pigmentation. One of the most popular options due to is less aggressive nature is Lactic acid.

Lactic acid exfoliates dead skin, causing the skin to replace itself with newly rejuvenated skin. This helps to increase collagen production, which smooths fine lines and encourages the breakdown of over pigmented cells. The large molecules of lactic acid also help to lock moisture into the skin allowing it to become more efficient in repairing damaged skin cells.

Acne

Acne is a skin disease which effects approximately 80% of the population at some point in their lives. Acne is not a condition which discriminates against age as it can happen to adults and adolescence's alike.

Here at Myobody Aesthetics we understand the emotional impact that acne can have and we are passionate in providing the best treatments to help reduce the severity of acne outbreaks.

Your senior practitioner is an acne specialist and has been working closely with both NHS and Private dermatologist for over 12 years.

During your acne consultation your practitioner will assess your skin and learn your acne history so that they can better understand what form of treatments will be best suited to you. We can achieve great results with our in clinic treatments and home-care products, often recommended to fit alongside sometimes necessary acne medication.

There are many chemical peels that have a positive impact on reducing acne concerns and we will talk you through which types may be best for you at your consultation. One of the most popular ones used in clinic today is Salicylic Acid, followed closely by Mandelic acid. Both options are great at reducing oil and bacteria. With Mandelic acid also be excellent at reducing redness and inflammation, this is often best for more sensitive types of acne.

Anti Ageing

With so many treatments marketed to help with Anti-aging it can be difficult to decide what will work best for you!

As the skin starts to change through the natural ageing process there may be things you start to notice. Often the first thing we start to see is a slightly "duller" complexion. The skin can also start to feel thicker and pores start to look larger. Small lines start to appear and the skins elasticity diminishes.

Chemical peels can be an excellent treatment option to reduce the early signs of skin ageing. With a wide variety of chemicals available we can usually find a perfect option for even the most sensitive skin types. One of the most popular options for first time chemical peel clients is our "glow' peel. This is combination of essential skin boosting acids such as Mandelic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid and Lactic Acid.

The great thing about our professional in clinic chemical skin peels is that they progress in strengths. This means we adapt your treatments so that you can continue to see results and reap the benefits of new, healthier, brighter skin cells.

During your consultation your practitioner will assess your skin and provide the best treatment option for you.
